Leeds United have improved their offer to sign Igor Paixao from Feyenoord, eager to get a deal secured ahead of Marseille and Roma.
Leeds’ second and final behind-closed-doors friendly of their pre-season camp in Germany, seeing off Paderborn 3-2.
Six fresh faces have already featured so far, with Anton Stach the latest to turn out in Leeds colours with an assist for Joel Piroe today, while goalkeeper Lucas Perri is to be imminently announced.
Leeds United to improve bid for Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao – Fabrizio Romano
After Perri, all eyes are on Leeds’ attempts to land Igor Paixao from Feyenoord, with the winger Leeds’ top target for the left wing.
They are, however, facing competition from both Marseille and Roma for his signature, having tabled an opening offer of £26million for the Brazilian.

That bid was turned down, with Fabrizio Romano revealing on Saturday evening that Leeds have now lodged an improved bid in order to secure an agreement.
Leeds are aiming to have the signing wrapped up as soon as possible, knowing that interest from two big clubs in Roma and Marseille could be an enticing prospect for Paixao.
Leeds United could make signing of the summer with Igor Paixao

You certainly can’t say that Leeds aren’t ambitious in their efforts to stay in the Premier League, and Paixao would be the biggest statement of the lot.
A winger of his quality would transform Leeds’ chances of survival next season and send a statement to our rivals that we mean business.
There’s likely a long way to go for this signing to get completed, but all noises seem to suggest the 49ers are desperate to get this agreed.

TBH if he would rather be somewhere else then we should just walk away from him and look elsewhere. We have seen time wasted on CDK and De Paul over the last few seasons. If wearing the white of Leeds means nothing to you then you mean nothing to us
Exactly that.Move on and find someone who wants to fight for the club and not see how many pounds he can bank.
So what is the hold up there evaluation or his refusal
