Leeds United could welcome Joe Rodon back into the squad this week after his extended period out with hamstring trouble.
Leeds are a good season of injury luck away from being comfortable in mid-table this campaign. But it’s been a frustrating start for Joe Rodon.
Just a fortnight into the season, he has seen his solid start ruined by a hamstring setback against Brentford, missing ever since.
Joe Rodon could be back for Leeds United after Daniel Farke teaser last week
Last week, Daniel Farke previewed our trip to Bournemouth with some positive injury news regarding Rodon. Having been missing since matchweek two, Rodon was revealed to be working his way back into full team training, taking part in some sessions at the end of October.
With another week under his belt at Thorp Arch, time will tell if Farke is going to be able to call upon the Welshman.
However, there seems to be confidence in Rodon’s availability for action. That’s because he’s been named in the Wales squad for the upcoming November internationals.
Alongside Rodon, Leeds have five names in Craig Bellamy’s squad: Jayden Lienou, Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Dan James and Harry Wilson.
Huge decision looms for Daniel Farke: James Justin or Joe Rodon?
It’s a tough dilemma that looms for Farke in the defence.
At the moment, there is nothing wrong with James Justin’s performances. He’s been one of our most consistent performers in 2026.
However, it’s naturally difficult to keep someone like Rodon on the bench, knowing how good he’s been for Leeds ever since signing.
That being said, it’s a great dilemma for Farke to have. Having such strong options to play in that right-sided centre-back role is ideal.
Rodon can thankfully be eased back into action. At the moment, we still have plenty of depth at the back with Justin’s versatility and Melvin Bard ready to step in when needed.
Huge Leeds United return on the cards – Daniel Farke faces tough decision: Well that is what he is payed big mony for.
