Leeds United right-back Jayde Bogle is confident of our credentials to turn some of our poor recent results into victories.
The Whites are winless in the last five, and it’s very hard for Daniel Farke to get away from the reality of our attacking performances being very poor.
No goals in the last two, against sides that have conceded 30 between them in the Premier League so far, is quite damning.
“I still think…” – Jayden Bogle issues confident Leeds United claim after poor run of form
A five-game run without victory is always going to be cause for Leeds fans to have a meltdown. Concerns over the bigger picture start to creep in, as you can imagine. It leaves Farke and his squad naturally under a bit more pressure to turn things around.
Against Spurs this weekend, the squad are seemingly confident of turning things around and getting back on track.
Jayden Bogle, speaking to the club this week, still backs himself and the rest of the players to come out of this rut.
“I still think we’re in a good place now,” Bogle told Leeds’ official website. “But it’s just, like people said after the game, the fine margins with the decision-making, probably in the final third, just to turn those draws into wins and take those chances when we can.
“But I think the morale of the group and the confidence and everything is still there. We’re still 100 per cent behind each other and the staff and we’ll still want to give everything for the club. And I just think it’s those tiny details, and especially in the final third. If we can click, we’ll start turning the majority of those draws into wins.”
Work at Thorp Arch has been as usual for Bogle and his teammates, though.
“Just normal,” Bogle continued. “Nothing changed. Like I said, we’re working on those fine details to just almost click in the final third and get those goals flowing again because we haven’t scored as much as we’d probably want to at the moment. We’re working on that to be the best in that aspect, and hopefully the rest takes care of itself.”
Jayden Bogle and Harry Wilson are the key to Leeds United getting win vs Spurs
Roberto De Zerbi is well aware of the quality Leeds have in playing down the right side. That is largely centred around how well Bogle has played this season; it’s fair to say.
So, that could be the key, even if De Zerbi sets his side up to mitigate our ability to create.
Bogle, though, needs support. He’s been one of our only outfielders lately who is producing consistently promising moments in attack; he needs help.
Harry Wilson looked encouraging against Bournemouth, and if he can kick on from there and build on it, we could be in business.
