Matthias Jaissle – Newcastle United
Staying in the North East, Newcastle’s situation went from bad to worse on Monday night.
Having been dumped out of the EFL Cup in midweek by Everton, the Magpies were beaten by the same opposition on home turf in the league.
A 1-0 loss isn’t totally devastating on its own, but Newcastle look really poor at the moment. As mentioned previously, they’ve been handed beatings by Leeds and Coventry, 4-1 both times.
Of course, there’s a gelling aspect that hasn’t helped Jaissle. His squad was completely ripped up in the summer and replaced with a lot of younger signings that need time.
However, we’re not seeing anything that suggests he’s going to turn things around. There’s very little proof of what he’s trying to do.
