Leeds United have a tough trio of Premier League fixtures looming. With Chelsea after the international break, injuries are rife in Xabi Alonso’s camp.
Up next for Leeds is a trip down to the south coast to take on an in-form Bournemouth side. Daniel Farke of course, has his work cut out to get maximum points vs the Cherries.
After that, it’s a return to Elland Road against Spurs before the international break. Leeds return to Premier League action away to Chelsea.
Chelsea suffer huge Maxence Lacroix injury blow – Likely ruled out of Leeds United clash
Chelsea’s hunt to get their hands on silverware suffered a massive blow as they were beaten on penalties by Liverpool in the EFL Cup this week.
Getting back to the Champions League is another major objective. To get there, Xabi Alonso knows he will need to improve his side’s pretty worrying defensive record – even in beating Leeds heavily in the cup, they shipped three at home.
Now, as Leeds looms in November, the Blues look set to be without £52million summer signing Maxence Lacroix in defence. That’s according to Fabrice Hawkins, who reports that the Frenchman’s hamstring scan has come back with bad results, due to be ruled out for “several weeks”.
Lacroix was forced off at Anfield and could barely hobble around the pitch after being withdrawn. As a result, he’s looking at an extended spell out with this hamstring tear.
Lacroix joins star striker Joao Pedro in being absent due to muscular issues. The Brazilian, though, may be back in time to face Leeds, suffering a more minor issue.
Leeds United team news confirmed pre-Bournemouth: Nico Elvedi, Joe Rodon boosts
Looking at Leeds’ team news, it’s actually positive right now for Farke.
Nico Elvedi missed the draw at Sunderland with illness, but he is back up to speed and expected to be available tomorrow afternoon.
Elsewhere, Joe Rodon’s long-awaited return from a hamstring injury is around the corner. He won’t be ready for Saturday, but Farke confirmed the Welshman is being reintegrated into parts of team training, and won’t be far from a return.
Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have had a full week of training – they were doubts last weekend. Anton Stach, though, has a persistent foot issue from last week that leaves him a doubt.
Holy shit, Farke get no time to buy his milk at the supermarked. Old men ask him about Bahoya all the time. If that do not stop, our manager will have to buy something stronger then milk.
Coming from Germany was not in the programme at talk to stupid old men from yorkshire.
