Leeds United are working hard to bring in a new striker at the moment, with Victor Orta pursuing one key target.

The Whites are three signings into their summer spending with Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca all arriving.

However, there’s still plenty that needs to be done to raise the standard of the squad under Jesse Marsch.

As Patrick Bamford’s absences proved, Leeds need a new striker to add better quality to their front line.

After signing an attacking midfielder, right-back, and central midfielder, Leeds’ attention ought to turn to the striker slot.

Numerous targets will be on the shortlist, but the Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that Victor Orta is currently in talks with one man:

“Leeds’ search for a striker goes on.

“They have a number of other targets for the role and director of football Victor Orta is currently working on landing one of them to strengthen Jesse Marsch’s attacking option.”

Leeds have reportedly submitted an offer to sign PSG forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, with the club hoping a fee around £17million will be enough.

Big plans in the works.

It was a must that we signed a striker and it’s great to see the club are chasing it.

Whether or not the signing ends up being Kalimuendo remains to be seen, but that could well be the case.

What is really positive about the business that we’re doing is that there is no messing around, we’re getting it all done quickly.

It’s going to be a very exciting pre-season seeing all of the new faces in action – and there’s clearly more to come.
