Bobby Kamwa will be allowed to leave Leeds United this January.

Leeds are on the lookout for a breakthrough in their pursuit of Brenden Aaronson at RB Salzburg, with the USMNT midfielder looking like he will be the club’s only addition, if they can agree a fee.

However, there could be business concluded when it comes to outgoings.

As per a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, Kamwa will be allowed to leave Elland Road in the coming days if an opportunity arises.

It’s claimed that the forward has no place in the current plans at Elland Road, with his contract as a Leeds player due to expire in the summer.

Kamwa, 21, has found opportunities in the U23s tough to come by this season, but he did feature 10 times in the Premier League 2 Division 2 last season.

In those appearances, he scored twice and registered one assist.

Kamwa has watched Leeds pad out the U23 squad in recent transfer windows, with so many players now ahead of him in the pecking order and pushing on into the first-team.

Marcelo Bielsa has had to chip into U23 resources week after week in the Premier League, but Kamwa has remained out of the picture.

At 21, he needs to be playing more football than he is, preferably at senior level.

It makes complete sense, then, for Leeds to be giving his exit the green-light this month. It doesn’t really feel like it is in anyone’s best interests for him to be kicking his heels for the next six months.

Fingers crossed he gets a decent move.
