Wolves will be without a number of first-team players against Leeds United on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Leeds play host to Wolves tomorrow afternoon at Elland Road, as Jesse Marsch aims to get his first full season in-charge off to the best possible start.

There’s been a boost for Leeds, too, in that Wolves will be missing some key personnel for their trip to West Yorkshire.

As per Liam Keen from the Express and Star, Leeds will face a Wolves side that will be without Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez for the trip to Elland Road.

Jimenez has a knee problem, whilst Traore will be missing with a hamstring issue.

Other names Bruno Lage will be without include Nelson Semedo (hamstring) and Chiquinho (ACL).

Leeds, meanwhile, are without Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo, Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Luis Sinisterra through injury, whilst Daniel James is still suspended from last season.

There’s a genuine concern amongst Wolves’ fans about where their goals will come from, so no Jimenez is an obvious boost for Leeds.

However, looking at where Jesse Marsch’s side is vulnerable, in the full-back positions, it’s good news that Traore is out.

Whilst Wolves have other good options out wide, there’s no denying that the pace of Traore against Pascal Struijk would’ve been a huge issue for Leeds at the weekend.

For him to be missing gives Leeds one less thing to worry about, alongside the threat that Jimenez carries.

That being said, it’s not like Leeds are at full strength either, with this weekend’s meeting seeing both teams quite depleted.
