Serie A giants Juventus have emerged as a potential suitor for Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto ahead of the summer transfer window.

Gnonto signed for the Whites from Swiss side FC Zurich on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2022 for a fee of around £3.8million, as reported by The Daily Mail.

The Italian has quickly established himself in the first-team, where he has scored four and assisted a further two in 19 games so far.

The 19-year-old is also a full international, and his solitary goal in eight caps for Italy made him the youngest scorer in their history, when he notched against Germany back in June 2022.

According to a report from Italian outlet CalcioMercato, Juventus could look to use Weston McKennie as part of a potential deal.

The American is on loan from the Italian giants, but a move for Gnonto could hinge on using McKennie. It is believed that they may make a move for him in the summer window.

The midfielder joined Leeds on loan from the Old Lady back in the January transfer window, in a deal that includes the option to buy for a reported £31million.

However, it is now suggested that Juventus would reduce that fee Leeds would have to pay to make that deal permanent, if Gnonto were to join the Serie A side in the summer.

CalcioMercato has since also shared that Gnonto would seemingly be very happy to return to Italy after leaving Inter Milan as a youngster, they wrote: “The footballer, also to play his cards at national level, would be very happy to return to Italy, especially in a top club like Juventus. The summer market seems ready to ignite, with Gnonto who could continue his career in the black and white shirt.”

However, there have been contrasting reports, with Gnonto himself speaking on BBC Sport’s Football Focus this week where he said: “My family is always with me so I don’t feel alone. I think this time was maybe easier (than moving to Switzerland at 16) because I just wanted to go and enjoy myself.”

He added how he feels at home in Leeds now, with his family aiding him well in settling in, he said: “I think I have adapted well here, and I feel at home.”

No disrespect to McKennie but the bid for Gnonto should in the real world be McKennie and at least 60 million (possibly more) .as a huge Leeds fan i am sick of selling our top players on the cheap and paying top price for mediocre players.,.!!!!!
