What have we learnt in a week with 9 points for Leeds United?

Well. Leeds have won 3 games in a week for the first time since February 2015 and our next two games are Huddersfield and Rotherham, could we win 5 in a row? I certainly hope so.

1) Leeds are breaking records – Leeds hadn’t won at Cardiff for 32 years and hadn’t won at Blackburn for something like 12 years, to do them both in a week is some feat. I didn’t expect anything going into the Cardiff game, especially not 2 goals and a clean sheet. It’s a shame we always seem to leave it too late in the season to mount any sort of play-off challenge.

2) Silvestri COULD be a great keeper – The Cardiff game in particular, Silvestri was immense. Nothing looked like getting past him and he made at least 8 incredible saves. If he can somehow sort out his catching and kicking then he would be a top, top keeper. The question is though can he? I’m not sure. His catching and commanding the area haven’t really improved since he got here. I really hope he can sort that part of his game out because his shot-stopping is class.

3) Leeds can compete in the Championship – The last week has shown we can compete, why can’t we do it consistently? Every year they seem to have a run at this stage to entice you in for next season, only to be let down over and over again. We’ve got clear holes in the squad but it’s much better than it has shown this season. You can be an average team in this league and have a chance at the playoffs, take Cardiff for example. They’re one place outside of the play-offs and they are nothing special at all. Leeds just capitulate too easily, we could easily have been hovering around the playoffs this season.

4) You can support Leeds without supporting Cellino – Nobody can tell me any Leeds fans haven’t enjoyed these wins. I am dead against Cellino but I’m always buzzing when we win, it’s really not that difficult. I’ve seen people being much happier on Twitter after these wins. Bottom line is you can have whatever views you want, you’ll still enjoy the wins.

5) With stability, we can succeed – This is my main reason for wanting Cellino out really, we’ll never get stability with Cellino, he’s always waiting to throw a spanner in the works. His FA ruling is due soon and there’ll be a domino affect after that, it’ll be interesting to see what happens. But I honestly believe if we had stability, we’d only need 4 more signings to really content in this league. I hope we get a chance to find out, we’ve probably only got a year of Cook and Taylor left in this league.

If cellino was not in charge ken bates or gfh would have already sold cook and taylor and we would never have bought any of the italians
