The transfer window might only have a few weeks left to run, but Leeds United aren’t finished yet.

Leeds have signed Rodrigo and Robin Koch to strengthen their hand this summer, with Diego Llorente set to follow.

However, there’s still the midfield berth to fill.

Interest in Rodrigo De Paul isn’t progressing like Leeds might like, which has led to The Athletic confirming that links to Ruslan Malinovskyi are genuine.

That’s on the back of a report from The Telegraph over the weekend.

With this speculation bubbling away, we at Leeds All Over have dived into the YouTube archives to pick out the 27-year-old’s best moments from 2019/20:

In 34 Serie A appearances, the Ukraine international scored eight goals and registered three assists. If you add his Champions League numbers to that, his goal tally goes to nine.

It was a slow burner for the midfielder when Malinovskyi first arrived in Italy, with his only goal prior to December coming in a heavy defeat to Man City in the Champions League.

However, the goals flowed soon after and by the end of the season, Malinovskyi had eight to his name, including goals against Serie A giants, Lazio and Juventus.

His last outing for Atalanta came in the cruel Champions League defeat to PSG, who scored twice late on to knock the Italians out of the competition.

A regular with Ukraine too, Malinovskyi scored three goals in four international caps in 2019/20.

I think we’ve all seen footage of De Paul before, but there’s not been much floating around of the former Genk man.

We’ve got to say, he looks an extremely impressive midfielder that likes to get on the ball and make things happen.

Additionally, he packs a real punch from that left foot, which would be great to see at Elland Road.

This is a player that’s played in the Champions League and consistently on the international stage. His first year in Italy was good, so fingers crossed he’s at the required level should he sign for Leeds.

After a solid window of Rodrigo, Koch and, now Llorente, this could be the icing on the cake.
