Leeds United battled hard to earn a draw against Brighton on Saturday, with goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison clinching a much-needed point at home.

Javi Gracia’s side may have slipped to 19th in the table with results elsewhere in the Premier League going against them, but it was a solid performance against one of the league’s best in recent months.

Goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison in either half cancelled out Alexis Mac Allister’s opener and Harrison’s own goal in the second half, seeing the two teams take a point apiece at full-time.

While it means Leeds move down a position in the table as Bournemouth won at home to Liverpool, it was a step in the right direction for Leeds in terms of performances.

Here, we look at how the players reacted to their draw at home to the high-flying Seagulls…

Jack Harrison

Starting with the man who had a say in three of the four goals scored on Saturday, as Harrison came away with a goal, an assist, and an own goal to his name.

It wasn’t the best performance from Harrison who still left fans frustrated at key moments, but still produced the good as he initially played Patrick Bamford through for 1-1, before being forced into scoring an own goal to restore Brighton’s lead.

He made amends in brilliant fashion as a short corner saw him curl a wonder strike on his weak foot from near the corner of the box, beyond Jason Steele’s reach.

Harrison shared this post on Instagram:

Rodrigo

The game also marked the ahead-of-schedule return of Rodrigo as well, as he marked his comeback from a fractured shinbone in quick time.

He came off the bench but couldn’t fire Leeds into a win, but could look back at the game with some anger as he was denied a penalty for what looked a clear foul in hindsight, as Adam Webster took him down from behind while Pascal Groß took the ball away:

However, just the fact that the Spaniard is back in the squad and on the pitch is a massive boost for Leeds’ chances of staying up.

Max Wöber

Wöber has no doubt made the Leeds defence more solid since his arrival at the start of January, and he will be frustrated at how both goals went in.

His blushes were spared seconds before the own goal, as he nearly turned Kaoru Mitoma’s cross into his own net, only for Harrison to finish the job.

Leeds taking a point against a Brighton side who have just thrashed West Ham does speak volumes about the improvement of the side in recent weeks.

Wöber reacted to the result with this post:

Junior Firpo

Another game goes by where Firpo can count himself as one of the better performers, offering a good deal going forward while Brighton’s right side did little to threaten often.

It was a special moment for Firpo too as he came out of the tunnel with his two children as mascots.
