Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh is set to join Cardiff City on loan for the remainder of this season.

The transfer window is open and incomings are the only thing on the minds of the fans right now.

The squad is looking light and any outgoing might have to be met with a likewise arrival.

Cody Drameh has been well involved in the first team this season after getting a year’s worth of development under his belt in the under-23s.

He came off the bench for Junior Firpo against West Ham today, highlighting not only that he’s thought of highly, but that he’s an option Marcelo Bielsa needs to consider with how light the squad is.

Surprisingly though, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that post-match, the right-back is expected to join Cardiff City on loan for the remainder of the season:

Why?

We have no room for manoeuvre in our squad right now and letting anyone go is a naive move.

Drameh doesn’t quite look ready for regular minutes in the league for us, but we genuinely have no one else.

I just think loaning him out right now seems like a decision made with long-term focus in mind while the short-term could be vital to the club.

More injuries and we have virtually no defence to piece together.
