Another game, another few players missing out through injury. If we ever get a fully fit squad together we might do something miraculous, like win the league. With all the information that Marcelo dished out yesterday, who’s going to start for Leeds against Derby?

GK – Bailey Peacock-Farrell – No sign of a new keeper as of yet and will BPF be dropped even if we do sign a keeper? You never know with Marcelo.

Into the defence…

RB – Jamie Shackleton – Shackleton has looked great whenever he’s been on the pitch lately, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start on Friday night. Ayling has looked off it ever since he came back from injury, so maybe he’ll have a rest.

CB – Pontus Jansson – The player of the month for December in the Championship and well deserved too, we need him to continue that form.

CB – Liam Cooper – Everything is trending towards Cooper starting against Derby, but don’t rule out an injury before kickoff, this is Leeds after all.

LB – Tom Pearce – Bit of a wildcard, but I’ve got it into my head that Bielsa was easing Pearce back from injury and that playing in the U23s game with Cooper was a test to see whether he was ready to start.

Into the midfield…

CDM – Adam Forshaw –
Cooper is finally back which means Kalvin Phillips can go back to his midfield role… Oh, wait. Forshaw isn’t exactly the man of the moment but Leeds’ options are running low.

CM – Mateusz Klich – Klich is looking tired at the minute but the rest over the FA Cup weekend may have been exactly what he needed.

CAM – Tyler Roberts – With Pablo all but ruled out of the Derby game, expect to see Roberts play in the number 10 role. I rate Roberts highly and despite Pablo being a massive loss, I’m excited to see Roberts play on Friday.

Into the attack…

RW – Gjanni Alioski – Alioski has been better of late, especially on the right hand side. Let’s hope it continues.

LW – Jack Clarke – Bielsa has now seen that Clarke can get through 90 minutes, so why not start him again, in a massive game?

ST – Kemar Roofe – Roofe was magic in the reverse fixture and he’ll be key to our success against Derby, he’ll be upset not to have scored a couple against Forest.

Let us know which teams you would go with to play Derby!
