It was seemed almost certain that Samuel Sáiz would be leaving Spanish second division side Huesca for Eibar or another La Liga team. However, Leeds United aren’t the stale club we’ve been for many years any more, Leeds mean business. Just when everybody in Spain thought it was over, Leeds have come through and are very close to agreeing a deal for the Spanish playmaker. The fee is said to be around €3m.

    jonny howson

    • Tim says:

Johnny Howson isn’t coming back to Leeds or any other ex Leeds player. It’s a new era and we move forward not backwards into the past. Why do you think Norwich are prepared to let him go?

      • Terry says:

Its because the older generation of football fans have yet to move on in terms of how the modern game works.

  • CHRIS MOORE says:

I think that he would be a greataddition to the squad,we need to get hold of about 4 new Midfielders, creative as well as in the holding role.we have Clich and talk of Ezgjan Alioski also coming is looking good!

  • Graeme says:

I am reliably informed that Orta and Salas were a big part of the astounding success enjoyed by Sevilla in the past due to their talent-spotting of players. Great credit to our new owner for bringing them in. Could be a great season if we are all patient and give the new guys time to settle in.

leeds need at least four creative an holding midfield if we get the eightvplayers they say we going to sign we will be in a great state to take next sesion by storm yeah leeds utd

    Eight more signings???
I suppose any more new signings will probably be from Europe.
    Better value.
The exciting thing is that we are going all out to get the players the club want!!
Howson would be good, but we have Ronaldo now, and he deserves to start.
A couple of quality centre backs, and full back cover are still needed.
    Maybe another goalkeeper too.

    • Hagi says:

Yes Henri, additions in those positions are crucial. Right sided quality CB to play along side Pontus plus possible up and coming young CB as cover for him. I think Cooper deserves to remain in the squad as cover for Pontus, he’s still a very good player even though he made a couple of crucial gaffs last season and no one can fault his commitment to us. Both fullback positions need reinforcements and I agree with you totally that we need to add a goalkeeper especially if Marco leaves. I believe Bailey PF is destined to be our No 1 eventually but if he’s not yet ready then either a major or a cover signing is required. Get those in Henri then we surely would be challenging for auto promotion.

    • Hagi says:

      Henry not Henri

  • John Parkin says:

Would love to see a big name signing to play up front with woody keep our attacking threat up there and make sure we dont fall short at the last hurdles again glad to see the clubs actually making moves and getting in some decent players still need to make a few marquee signings to give us the best chance possible for the new season I’m quite excited I’ve seen some of the football the new manager likes to play and we could be in for a very good season MOT ALAW
