With the first week of the transfer window at Leeds United passing without a signing there was a growing sense of frustration. However today that all changed. Leeds have announced the signing of Cameron Stewart initially on loan from Hull, with the deal becoming permanent in the summer. Stewart has already signed a 3 year contract from the summer.
Cameron Stewart is a great signing in my opinion, giving us the width and pace we so badly needed. The other main news of the day is that Leeds have all but signed Jimmy Kebe on loan from Crystal Palace, the deal will become permanent in the summer if we win promotion. Another winger, played under Brian McDermott at reading and is known for his pace. A useful player in defence as well as attack. These signings could be the kick-start our season needed. Stewart has said himself that his and Kebe’s name on the team-sheet could scare the opposition, lets hope so.

More news from today is that Ashley Barnes the Brighton striker is wanted by Brian McDermott. Burnley have had a bid of 750k accepted for the attacker but Leeds still have a chance. Personally I think there’s better available in Nahki Wells. Due to the signing of two wingers today the Gradel deal has been confirmed dead.
Check back next week for another update!
