Leeds United are still being forced to wait on Charles De Ketelaere as Club Brugge schedule further talks for tomorrow with AC Milan.

With pre-season well underway for Leeds, there is still a major gap in the squad that needs plugging with a marquee signing.

Charles De Ketelaere is the name that Leeds look set on pursuing, but are being frustrated in their chase of the Belgian forward.

With AC Milan competing for his signature too, they are pushing hard to sign him despite struggling to keep pace with Leeds’ significant offer of €30million plus €7million in add-ons.

The Italian outfit have recently met for discussions with Club Brugge, but to no avail as they are still at an impasse over the fee – per Daniele Longo.

Now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a meeting is scheduled for Wednesday between the two clubs, as the Italian side hope for thrash out an agreement:

Milan have previously been off with their valuation and will hope that this new meeting will be where they strike an agreement.

Should Leeds move on from De Ketelaere?

No

Final answer, then time to move on.

If Milan can get a fee agreed, then this signing is there, but if not, we need to push the agenda with Brugge to get our deal signed.

We have offered more money throughout and clearly mean business with this signing, whereas Milan aren’t on that level.

The pull of AC Milan is obviously lightyears ahead of ours so it’s hard to blame him, but where finances are concerned, we are currently better off.

Hopefully, it’s wrapped up soon either way so we can crack on with whoever we end up signing.
