Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray signed a new long-term deal in January, but Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Liverpool haven’t given up hopes of signing him in 2024.

Leeds did very well to retain the vast majority of their most talented players during the summer months after being relegated from the Premier League.

Archie Gray was one player every Leeds fan was looking forward to seeing more of under Daniel Farke when this season got underway, and he hasn’t disappointed.

Gray pens new contract until 2028

Leeds will have been well aware of the interest surrounding the 17-year-old this season, given his superb performances not only in midfield but at right-back more recently too.

Therefore, it wasn’t a shock to see that he was swiftly tied down to a new contract in the January window, keeping him at Elland Road until 2028.

It comes after frequent reports of interest from elsewhere in the midfielder, particularly from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Will Leeds sell Archie Gray in 2024?

Newcastle, Liverpool, and Manchester City ‘haven’t given up’ on Gray

Now, HITC are reporting that despite a fresh agreement keeping Gray at Elland Road for four more years, Premier League clubs remain keen on signing him.

They share that the three in particular that wish to land the versatile teenager are Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United.

Gray has this week been quoted on the official Leeds podcast as saying:

“I’m a Leeds fan. There’s nowhere else I want to be, I wasn’t thinking about anywhere else. I just want to play here and enjoy my time here and try to help us get back to where we belong.”

Gray won’t be leaving without a huge fee being paid

These clubs are right to be looking at the Championship for talent, as so many players come through and shine in the Premier League – Gray will be one of the next.

However, he’s loving life in the Leeds squad and as he says, there’s nowhere else he’d rather be right now.

If any of these clubs want to sign Gray, we’re going to be looking at eye-watering sums of money for him.
