With news abound on who Leeds may or may not bring in this January Transfer Window, we’ve compiled all the players that we know Leeds are monitoring and potentially sounding out deals for…

A keeper is all but confirmed with Kiko Casilla reportedly flying to Leeds last night, who we have compiled a profile of here, attention now turns to potential wingers that may be brought in for extra fire-power and to somewhat cover the gap left by the departure of Samu Saiz to Getafe.

Daniel James

The 21 year old Welsh international is according to Phil Hay, top of Leeds’ shortlist for wingers. James can play on the wing or in an attacking midfield position and possesses great skill and pace. He broke into the side this season, scoring against promotion rivals Norwich to get off the mark, and has since become a regular feature of Swansea’s campaign to get back into the Premier League. WalesOnline reported this morning that James would cost £3.5 million and Leeds are considering meeting this valuation. Considering his ability, this would be a bargain when you consider the ballooning sums paid by Championship clubs in the modern game.

Jefferson Montero

Another Swansea winger. However, Montero is a much more senior player at 29 years old. Montero is also an international having appeared 64 times for the Ecuador national team. If Leeds were to opt for Montero then it is most likely to be a loan move, as reported here. Montero has made just 11 appearances from the bench for the Welsh side this season, having spent last season on loan at Ecuadorian Serie A club Emelec. Using intuition, I doubt there is much run in this story and maybe used as a last chance saloon optiion.

Callum O’Dowda

This time a Republic of Ireland international, it emerged last night Leeds were ‘looking into’ the Bristol City wide player. O’Dowda has been at Ashton Gate since signing from Oxford United in 2016, where coincidentally he would have a season cross over with one Kemar Roofe. With 12 starts and a further 10 appearances off the bench this season, O’Dowda has netted twice, both goals coming against Norwich and Stoke.
