Leeds United are seeing their forward targets vanish before them, and Che Adams could be another as Everton are linked.

So far, Jesse Marsch has managed to shape the Leeds side very well towards how he wants his side to play, with signings from former clubs along with those who would fit right in to replace lost talent.

One position he is yet to rectify is the striker position, with Leeds still having the same options as last season.

While Patrick Bamford might currently be fit and giving Leeds a focal point, the lingering fear of what would happen if he was out again, means the club ought to be finding a new signing.

Charles De Ketelaere could have been that extra option, then Arnaud Kalimuendo was the next best option, but now he’s heading to Rennes.

A player that the club have been linked with is Southampton’s Che Adams – per The Sun – as he looks out of the picture at St Mary’s after being an unused sub at the weekend.

An offer has been made for the forward according to The Athletic, but it comes from Frank Lampard’s Everyone in the form of a loan-to-buy bid:

Adams would be a solid signing for any side in the bottom half looking for a striker, and I think Everton’s current crisis could be good for Adams, who needs game time.

He wouldn’t be starting for Leeds unless there was an injury, but he will be straight into the lineup under Lampard.

We need a forward, and it would be nice to see someone of Adams’ calibre and skillset arriving.

I doubt the club would be willing to put up too much of a fight to fend off Everton in this sort of battle, though.
