Leeds United have reportedly already held talks with Red Bull Salzburg over the signing of striker Noah Okafor this summer.
Leeds’ status in the Premier League is under threat this season – despite their win at Wolves last time out, they sit just two points above the relegation zone in 14th.
However, Victor Orta looks to be working hard already to secure signings for the summer transfer window, hopefully with the club still in the top flight.
Noah Okafor to Leeds?
It was reported by Football Insider this month that Leeds are one of the clubs that are circling for Red Bull Salzburg star Noah Okafor, with the summer window in view.
The Swiss international forward has three goals in the Champions League this season, including a fine finish away at Chelsea, and a stunning solo goal against AC Milan, while featuring in the World Cup too.

What’s the latest?
Journalist Mo Ibrahim has shed more light on the speculation around the 22-year-old, detailing that Leeds are not the only side that are looking to sign him.
Tottenham are also said to be looking at signing him, but Leeds are seemingly pushing for this signing, as it has been confirmed that the club have already held talks to bring him in this summer, having scouted him since the summer when Jesse Marsch was in charge:
Do Leeds need a striker in the summer?
Yes

No

Okafor would be a good signing for us if we aren’t looking to bring him in as the chief goalscorer, but more of a secondary striker or wide man.
He likes to drift out to the left anyway, and we could use someone like that in a two-striker setup alongside the likes of Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, and Georginio Rutter.
However, we might be looking at a significant fee for him even if his deal is up in the summer of 2024, so Spurs might be the front-runners here.
