Football is finally back! No matter how bad Leeds have been I’m still ridiculously bored over the international break. That’s England for you, I guess. A massive game ahead for us on Sunday as Garry Monk brings his Middlesbrough team to Elland Road. But who’s going to start for Leeds? Let’s get into it.
GK – Felix Wiedwald – I wasn’t exactly a fan of Felix but he’s got more potential than Lonergan that’s for sure, time to bring him back.
Into the defence…
RB – Luke Ayling – It’s time for Ayling to get back some kind of form, he’s been very poor recently.
CB – Pontus Jansson – Same goes for Jansson, he needs to play well to ensure he has a place on the plane to the World Cup, that starts now.
CB – Liam Cooper – It comes down to leadership really and Cooper has that in abundance, I’m sure he’ll want to get one over on Monk.
LB – Gaetano Berardi – In an ideal world, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson plays and is good, that seems unlikely though. Berardi needs to be on top form, like he was for much of Monk’s reign.
Into the midield…
RM – Stuart Dallas – I’ve decided to go for a 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 clearly isn’t working for us and why not give Monk a surprise and go at them from the off on Sunday? Stuart Dallas has been playing extremely well this year and he carried that on for Northern Ireland this week.
CM – Ronaldo Vieira – One of the few players who has actually performed in our last few games and one of our best players in general.
CM – Kalvin Phillips – O’Kane needs dropping for me, he’s been off it for quite some time now. Kalvin and Vieira had a good partnership at times last year and for added incentive, KP strikes me as someone who holds a grudge.
LM – Ezgjan Alioski – Had a great assist for his country midweek,

we could use a bit of that on Sunday.
Into the attack…
ST – Pierre-Michel Lasogga – Lasogga has blown hot and cold so far this season, maybe a strike partner will help him? It definitely can’t hurt, he’s looked very isolated at times.
CF – Samu Saiz – Samu playing right behind Lasogga can’t be a bad thing surely? I’m imagining Samu running onto a Lasogga flick on right now actually.
It’s worth remembering we’ve got Ekuban to come off the bench, too.
A massive game for Leeds on Sunday, let us know what teams you would go with and whether you’d also go with a switch in formation?
If Samu is upfront, who will create in midfield?
O’Kane must start.
Goalkeeper will be a problem whoever plays!
MOT!!!
Why not 3-5-2.
Gk Wiedwald, Dwr Alioski, Cb Ayling, Cooper, Jansson, Wdl Dallas, Cm Verria, Anita,Hernandez cf Lasogga cf Saiz.
Dallas must start don’t know what christianson has got against him.The rest of them need to stand in front of a mirror and look at themselves and get stuck in let’s have some norman hunters and Jack charltons and a Billy bremner out their play with passion.
Even if ignoring his frequent mistakes ( which unfortunately Lonergan also makes ) Wiedwald is a total liability ann consistently fails to collect easy crosses and shots. He causes a massive lack of confidence in his defence,, and is NOT suited to the English game ….. Send him back home !
Lonergan may have made mistakes in the last game, but he’s braver and better than Wiedwald.
Leeds can’t keep changing the goalkeeper every time a mistake is made, because otherwise Wiedwald will play one game and Lonergan the next and so-on and so-on.
Either stick with Lonergan or just give Peacock-Farrell his chance until January, but Lonergan is the most experienced keeper left at Leeds.
Peacock Farrell—Berdi—Pontus —Shawnessy— Cooper—Vieira—Saiz—Dallas—Ekuban—Lasogga—Alioski
whoever bought the players left us in a right mess by not getting a good left back and another centre back
