Daniel James put in a real shift on Tuesday evening as Leeds United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Elland Road.
Leeds left it late as Raphinha’s 94th minute penalty secured the points, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side made to work really hard for their breakthrough.
One man who didn’t stop running all game was Wales international, James.
He featured on the left again following Bielsa’s experiment of playing him through the middle, getting through an awful lot of work in 90 minutes.
Last night, @LUFC revealed his ‘heatmap’ on Twitter, alongside a couple of stats: 16 passes, 46 touches.
It really was an all-action display from the 24-year-old, which drew plenty of reaction from the Leeds supporters:
This was certainly up there with James’ best performances in a Leeds shirt so far this season.
Out of possession, he was tireless, chasing down Palace defenders and forcing a number of turnovers high in their half.
Joel Ward was ran into the ground and, in truth, the Palace right-back was lucky to avoid a red card.
James teed up a great chance for Rodrigo just after half-time and was brave enough to take on a number of shots from outside the box.
There’s work to do with the Wales international’s end product, but he’s giving everything to impress at the minute, which is all the fans ask for.
