Signing Kyle Bartley is a must for Radrizzani

We’ve all heard it by now, according to Phil Hay and the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are interested in bringing Kyle Bartley back to the club.

That was greeted with understandable excitement followed by the obvious doubt, was this information leaked to take some of the pressure that’s building on Andrea Radrizzani? The link seems to be legit, but before you get too happy, Swansea have claimed there to be no contact between the two clubs and also dropped the bombshell that Bartley has picked up another knee injury. However despite all of this, the ever-reliable Adam Pope has stated the injury isn’t serious.

There’s no doubt that the signing of Kyle Bartley is bigger than your stereotypical transfer. Everything that went wrong this season can be traced back from the failure to retain our best players, of which Kyle was one. Going out and bringing him back to Elland Road early in the summer would be a huge statement of intent and will help attract other top players. It may also have contributed to Pablo signing his new deal, would he have committed to another two years if he thought we’d be in a relegation fight?

Getting rid of Heckingbottom would be a good start to improving things as well, he clearly doesn’t have the quality needed. He must be on his way to one of the worst records a manger has ever had in a calendar year.

Feel free to let us know your thoughts on the situation, do you want Kyle Bartley back at Leeds?

  • ALWYN PAUL says:

yes we would like kyle bartley back at leeds united

  • Dave says:

When Bartley first joined Leeds, I recall reading posts on social media from Swansea supporters warning that he was always injured and therefore unlikely to feature very often in a white shirt. Maybe the reports about his current injury can be taken with the proverbial pinch of salt.

  • Sprake says:

If injured we have nothing to do with him, remember we have been signing injured players in the past that have done nothing for the Club. Must get rid of some of the sick note like Dallas, Berardi, O’Kane etc.
Not so happy about the new contract for Pablo. He is a player on the road down and I don´t expect much of him next season.

  • Patrick Derwin says:

I agree. Pablo is invisible 80% of the time. None of them deserve a new contract, with the exception of the young lads. We need 3 new defenders. Keep Pontus and Paudie. When was the last time we kept a clean sheet?. Get rid of the shite in midfield and we need two out and out strikers that will give us 20 goals each a season.
