Leeds United have confirmed the departure of Stuart McKinstry on loan to Motherwell for the 2022/23 season.
The Whites have done well to secure senior footballing opportunities for key youngsters this summer, and the latest is Scottish youth international Stuart McKinstry.
Having starred in the under-23s side last season, it was time for the midfielder to make his move into the senior game with a temporary exit.
He has sealed a loan move to his former club Motherwell, and will be looking to develop a lot over the course of this season in the Scottish top flight.
McKinstry took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the move back to his boyhood club:
His teammates from Thorp Arch were keen to send their best wishes, including the likes of Charlie Cresswell and Sonny Perkins, while former teammate and Hibernian man Nohan Kenneh also shared his reaction:

Best of luck.
McKinstry has always been one of the players to go under the radar in our youth setup due to eye-catching signings, but has always been an important presence nonetheless.
A move back to Motherwell for the season ahead could be just what he needs to progress to the next level, and we all hope he hits the ground running.
As for his future here, it’s difficult to see what happens next for him, with his current contract out at the end of this season.
