There’s a short turnaround for Leeds United in the Premier League this week, as they welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road just days after a goalless draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Leeds were below-par at Brighton but got away with a point against the odds.

Tomorrow evening, Leeds host Crystal Palace at Elland Road, looking for just their third win of the season.

As our graphic below shows, it appears unlikely that Marcelo Bielsa will opt for wholesale changes despite the poor performance on the South Coast:

Instead, it’s more a case of returning to 4-1-4-1 and putting round pegs back in round holes.

Illan Meslier was superb at Brighton and will continue in goal, whilst Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente and Stuart Dallas should make up three quarters of the defence. Our only change would see Pascal Struijk come in for Junior Firpo at left-back.

Kalvin Phillips, then, moves back into his central midfield position.

Adam Forshaw and Rodrigo play ahead of him if Leeds revert to their favoured system, with Daniel James on one side and Raphinha the other.

In attack, we feel Tyler Roberts may be drafted in after an encouraging performance from the bench at Brighton. There will be a temptation to throw Joe Gelhardt back in, but Roberts was the go-to change for Bielsa at the weekend and might get a chance as the Whites await Patrick Bamford’s return.
