Rob Green has had his say on yesterday’s disappointing defeat to Wolves which saw Leeds drop out of the Play-Off’s for the first time in 26 games.

Green was helpless as Nouha Dicko scored the only goal during yesterday’s game after Pontus Jansson’s attempt to get the team forward only resulted in Wolves picking Leeds off at the back. He did keep Leeds in the game prior to that with a great one-on-one save to deny the Wolves forward.

Green was a free transfer after being released by QPR and he has been easily the best permanent signing we’ve made this year. In the last few games he’s really showed his experience, keeping Leeds in many games with some brilliant saves.

Green has kept 15 clean sheets in 43 Championship games, that’s 35% of games where Leeds haven’t conceded a single goal. Compared to last season this has been a massive improvement.

After yesterday’s defeat Green has taken to his Twitter account to issue a rallying call.

One talking point about the Tweet is Green mentioning that Leeds have “six cup finals left this season”, suggesting he and the players are very confident Leeds WILL make the Play-Off’s.

A positive response on Social Media for a player who has easily been one of Leeds’ Players of the Season. He and the players need to show a similar response on the field, these last three games are going to be a battle and we need to be up for it. One thing’s for certain, the fans will be behind the team 100%.
