The respected AllStatsArentWe podcast have stated that their sources are claiming a move to Leeds could be on the cards for Nicolás González. The South American born striker has been sighted in Leeds according to various sources. Nicolás currently plays his football in Germany for VFB Stuttgart and has represented the Argentina first team on 3 occasions.

González has no problem finding the back of the net converting an impressive 14 goals in 26 appearances last season. It’s clear to see why he would be on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar. If González did join for a reported fee around £20 million he’d have a tough job dismantling Leeds number 9 Patrick Bamford who Bielsa trusts to lead the line.

The whites seem to be picking up pace in the transfer market by adding Joe Gelhardt and Cody Drameh to the squad this week but this transfer would be a huge boost to United’s attacking threat.

United currently have just the one senior striker in Patrick Bamford.
