Wolves are reportedly open to selling Adama Traore this summer as Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa retain a strong interest in the Spain international.

Leeds are looking to evolve their squad over the course of the summer transfer window and whilst left-back and midfield are seemingly priority positions, Bielsa is tempted by another winger.

Traore appears to be the man that Leeds are most keen on, with a long-standing interest in the Wolves flyer.

As per a report from 90min, the Molineux club have told new boss, Bruno Lage, key assets are going to be moved on this summer, with Traore and Ruben Neves headlining the exodus.

Later in the report, Leeds’ long-standing interest in Traore is detailed, with Bielsa a big fan of the Spaniard, who was also signed by Victor Orta at Middlesbrough earlier in his career.

Traore, 25, has made 103 appearances in the Premier League over the course of the last three seasons, scoring seven goals and registering 12 assists in that time.

The links with Leeds and Traore have been bubbling away for so much time now. Orta has scouted him before and captured his signature, and you’d imagine that there’s something there with Bielsa that means he’s not off the radar at Leeds.

Personally, his numbers don’t blow me away – both Jack Harrison and Raphinha basically outperformed what Traore has done over three years in a single campaign.

However, I will concede that Traore offers something that neither of Leeds’ current wide men posses: raw pace.

That pace is such a useful tool and if Leeds can get him on board and tailor other parts of his game, he could be a huge, huge asset.

As we mentioned at the top of the article, he can’t be a priority, but if the budget stretches after a left-back and midfielder, we wouldn’t be totally against the idea of Traore arriving.
