Ezgjan Alioski has agreed a deal that will see him leave Leeds United at the end of this season.

That’s according to a report from Football Insider, who say that the 29-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish side Galatasaray.

Alioski is out of contract at Elland Road at the end of this season, with his future having been the subject of much speculation in recent months.

It has previously been reported that Leeds had opened talks with Alioski about a new deal to keep the North Macedonia international in Yorkshire beyond the summer.

Now however, it appears as though such an agreement will not be being confirmed.

According to this latest update, talks between the two parties have failed to reach a deal, and it now seems as though Alioski will be on the move this summer.

It is thought that Alioski has now agreed pre-contract terms with Galatasaray, which will see him move to the Turkish when his contract with Leeds expires at the end of the current campaign.

Since joining Leeds from Swiss side Lugano back in the summer of 2017, Alioski has gone on to make 162 appearances in all competitions for the Whites, scoring 22 goals and providing 14 assists in that time.

This you feel, will be somewhat disappointing for those of a Leeds United persuasion.

Admittedly, Alioski hasn’t quite been at his best in the Premier League this season, although he has still been useful for the club on occasions.

Indeed, the fact that a popular player will be leaving while the club is playing behind closed doors will be sad to see, given it will make it difficult to say a proper farewell to the fans, while the controversial nature of his reported next destination may also be something of a bone of contention around Elland Road.

It is also worth noting that is Alioski’s departure is indeed confirmed, then it will only further increase the pressure on Leeds to go out and sign some much-needed cover at left-back in the summer transfer window.
