There are a couple of nagging headaches for Thomas Tuchel heading to Leeds, though, with Chelsea’s midfield particularly thin.
As per a report from Leeds Live, Leeds could be facing a Chelsea side without Kovacic and Kante available.
Kovacic hasn’t featured yet in 2022/23, whilst Kante has picked up a hamstring injury.
Jorginho looks set to start against Leeds, but his partner in the midfield could be one of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount or Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher was the player to replace Kante in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

It’s obviously irritating for Chelsea to be without two quality midfield players and, naturally, it’ll be a boost for Leeds if Kovacic and Kante aren’t playing.
However, look at the list of players that could be available in the midfield.

It’ll still be a strong Chelsea midfield available to Tuchel and Jesse Marsch will be well aware of the fact that Leeds are going to have to be on the top of their game to get anything on Sunday.
By far, it’s the toughest test of the season.
