Leeds United are reportedly one of a handful of clubs interested in signing Wolves winger Adam Traore in January, with the player itching to move from Molineux.

The Whites have dipped into the market very wisely this season to ensure that Marcelo Bielsa has enough strength in each position ahead of the Premier League season.

With the squad (at full strength) looking as balanced as it could possibly be, we’ve already seen how the new boys have added great quality to the starting 11.

However, with January around the corner, there is concern that Leeds might need a bit more in certain areas to breathe a little easier.

Bielsa is more and more leaning on the influence of Jack Harrison and Raphinha as his wide parking, as Helder Costa continues to fall out of favour, something that happened to him when Wolves were promoted.

The man who took his place at Molineux was Adama Traore and Leeds are reportedly keen on the lighting-fast winger ahead of the January transfer window.

90min have revealed that Leeds are interested in swooping for the Spanish winger as his relationship with Wolves becomes increasingly strained after contract talks hit a stalemate.

The report details that Leeds are not alone in their interest, with Liverpool having previously been linked with a big-money move for the 24-year-old.

Traore has had a tough 2020/21 campaign so far, failing to register a single goal involvement in all competitions and could look to Victor Orta to help revitalise his career after helping him star at Middlesbrough alongside Patrick Bamford.

Famously, the pair demolished Leeds in the 17/18 season as Traore helped tee up Bamford for a stylish hattrick against us at the Riverside.

While it would be a dream to see a Bielsa-primed Adama Traore running down the wing, I just don’t see us having the funds for this nor the commitment to adding depth out wide.

We’ve got four wingers who’ve shown their Premier League credentials and adding a fifth would just upset the applecart.

You either drop Harrison or Raphinha and neither have warranted that under Bielsa, even if Harrison’s form of late has been suspect.

I don’t see Traore staying too long at Wolves if his struggles on and off the pitch persist, but it would take an almighty effort for us to stump up the cash, and then it would be a case of the team’s morale being affected.
