Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa may not complete the season at Elland Road.

That’s according to a report from French outlet Jeunes Footeux, who say that the Argentine could be set to leave the club in January.

As ever, Bielsa only signed a one-year deal with Leeds at the start of this season, meaning he could be free to leave the club in this summer.

With things falling short of previous campaigns this season, there has seemingly been more talk than ever about Bielsa leaving Leeds when his current contract expires.

Now however, suggestions are emerging that the 66-year-old may not even make it to the end of his current deal at Elland Road.

According to this latest update, there is now a possibility that Bielsa could yet leave Leeds in January, with the club currently sat 15th in the Premier League table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

It is claimed that a board meeting with Bielsa could take place next month, with the manager’s future on the agenda, potentially opening the door to a potential departure.

It would feel like a big shock if Bielsa was to leave Leeds in January, certainly of his own accord.

The Argentine has never come across as someone who has turn his back on a club in such a way, and particularly not when you consider the connection he has built with Leeds.

You also feel that while Leeds are below where they should be in the table, it is worth remembering they have only lost once in their last seven league games.

As a result, sacking Bielsa would feel rather harsh, not least when you consider how much he has done for the club over the past few seasons.
