Leeds United left-back Ezgjan Alioski has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join Galatasaray this summer.

That’s according to a report from Turkish outlet Fotomac, who say the deal has not been announced yet at the request of Alioski himself.

Alioski’s contract with Leeds is set to expire this summer, and it now seems likely that he will be on his way at the end of this season.

According to this latest update, the North Macedonia international has indeed now signed a pre-contract agreement that will take him to Galatasaray in the next few months.

However, it is thought that deal has not been announced yet because Alioski is concerned about the backlash he will receive from Leeds and their supporters, amid growing frustrations around his contract situation.

The report also states that Alioski has turned down the offer of a new deal to stay at Elland Road, apparently considering the offer made by the Whites to have not been enough to keep him at the club.

So far this season, Alioski has made 32 league appearances for Leeds, scoring twice and providing one assist.

This does seem rather sad to see from a Leeds perspective.

There are of course, much more important reasons than contract issues, that will leave a sour taste in the mouth at Elland Road around this.

The fact therefore, that it surrounds a player who has generally been extremely popular during his time at the club, will make this hard to take, and the fact Alioski now appears to be trying to avoid that is perhaps not the best look.

Indeed, it will be interesting to see just how supporters respond to him now that these reports around his future are becoming increasingly common.
