Leeds United are one of a handful of Premier League clubs monitoring PSV star Noni Madueke.
With Leeds looking like parting ways with Raphinha very soon, a replacement attacker or two is going to be vital to ensure Jesse Marsch is in a great place for next season.
The huge windfall the club is about to receive means an ambitious signing is expected from fans.
While PSV’s main man Cody Gakpo remains a strongly linked replacement right now, the club are also reportedly tracking one of his teammates.
90min are claiming that the Whites are one of multiple Premier League clubs who like the look of English right-winger Noni Madueke.
Leeds are joined by Newcastle United and Madueke’s former club Tottenham Hotspur in this chase, after he managed just three goals and three assists in an injury-hit season.
The England under-21 international is someone his club are keen to hang onto, but the report details that PSV would be likely to let either him or Gakpo leave if an acceptable offer came in.
Where will Raphinha play next season?
Arsenal
Chelsea
Leeds United
Barcelona
We need to be looking into the signing of Gakpo or if that doesn’t work, go for Madueke.
Either player would significantly improve our lineup after losing Raphinha and they present really wise investments.
I would much rather we tried signing Gakpo, given that he’s a more refined talent and more guaranteed to bring us success from the outset.
That said, we’re definitely fishing in the right pond when it comes to replacing him.
