RB Leipzig have reacted to Leeds United’s appointment of their former manager Jesse Marsch.

The Whites are at the start of a new era at Elland Road with Marcelo Bielsa sacked at the weekend, making way for Jesse Marsch.

It comes after a string of very poor results for Bielsa, with the club slipping closer to the relegation zone than ever before.

Marsch now has the task of keeping this club in the Premier League short-term, to then hopefully kick on to grander plans in the future.

As news filtered through, his former club that he left in December reacted to the news on Twitter:

You can see from the reaction of people that he has worked with that Marsch is a character that will be well-liked at Leeds.

He’s not Bielsa, but if we are looking to replace such a legend, we’ve found a very good option here.

Marsch’s time at Leipzig wasn’t great but having lost multiple key players in the summer was always going to make his task difficult.

He’s got a tough job here but the club are seemingly very confident in his abilities.
