Following on from the first part of our review of the players so far this season, we carry on and take a look at how our midfield players have been getting on so far.

Tom Adeyemi

Arriving in the summer on loan from Cardiff, he came with a fair reputation and in my view he has made a difference. He’s strong in midfield in front of the back four and has been impressive in displays, particularly away from home. He was excellent in the game away at Derby. All in all I think he’s made a solid start and I hope he can continue. 7/10

Alex Mowatt

It’s fair to say, the Mowatt of last season hasn’t turned up yet. We’ve had minor glimpses but he’s just not got going yet. I think he either needs to be taken out the line up to ease some pressure for a short period of time. Full faith in him though and it will come good for him before the end of the season. 5/10

Luke Murphy

For me, Luke is an absolutely vital part of our team. He has such a good eye for pass and can drive us on. Back at full fitness now from his pre season injury and we need to see him back to his best which no doubt will be coming. Going with a 6 just because of playing time missed. 6/10

Lewis Cook

Just an effortless footballer. Everything comes easy to him, apart from the rash tackle against Doncaster in the cup he’s a good start to the season, he has all the ability to go right to the top of the game. The ability to take players on so effortlessly is a great thing to watch. If he can add goals to his game he will be the complete midfielder. 8/10

Sam Byram

It’s fair to say, Sam hasn’t been his best but he does have that key stat of creating the most chances for us. It’s s difficult one for me to judge on Sam, do we expect to much for him or has been off it? I’m going for a 6, and I would be very interested to hear all your thought on his performances so far. 6/10

Stuart Dallas

Really like, Dallas. Genuine wide player. Only concern is a maybe a lack of consistency but we’ve got a player with a genuine attacking purpose and he excites me when he gets on the ball. Great signing for me. 7/10

Will Buckley

I’m not going to rate him, just like Turnbull. All I can say is I’m excited by this signing. One of my friends is a Brighton fan and he was gutted when we got him, and says we have a real player on our hands and can win us games on his own. Can’t wait to see him play more.

Very good analysis. Most of the midfield can ans should improve as they adapt to the situation and blend together.

don’t agree on adeyimi, I think we carry him in an attacking sense

Also no offence but based on our aweful season so far how can you mark them all so highly ?
