Today saw Lewie Coyle sign a new three-year deal at Leeds United. The youngster, who also sealed a season-long loan move to League One side Fleetwood Town, is now contracted at Elland Road until at least 2020.

This summer has seen a complete change in philosophy around the club. The days of signing promising youngsters to short-term contracts seem to be gone, such as when Lewis Cook renewed for two years before leaving a year later. It seems as if Andrea Radrizzani is actually taking things seriously, like he knows that our youngsters are pivotal to our future. Ronaldo Vieira also recently signed a new four-year deal to take him up to the end of the 2020/2021 season and Bailey Peacock-Farrell is also apparently in talks to sign a new deal at Elland Road.

This isn’t the only thing Radrizzani has changed, he has made all non-matchday content on LUTV free as well as allowing users outside of the UK and Ireland to stream live home and away matches. His signings have been impressive but the biggest of all is the repurchase of Elland Road. He’s certainly walking the walk after talking the talk and for the first time in years we finally seem like a football club pulling in the right direction from the board down.

The signs are there off the pitch, now hopefully we’ll see it on the pitch in the coming season. One thing’s for certain the fans will be there in numbers.

    Great times ahead.
We have shipped a few players out, but the incomings have stalled for now!
Lets hope things pick up soon, as pre-season is upon us.
With our European set up, we seem to be bypassing UK players.
Can’t wait for the season to start.

    MOT!!

might be no harm to bypass some uk players, as some of them didn,t do much in the past

We have never gone for the good ones David.
      Just freebees, loanees and cheapees.
We have sold a few good ones, but when you pay the worst wages in the Championship (up to now) you get what you deserve!

      MOT!!!
