Leeds United’s squad are back in training today, as three remain at the World Cup, with Jesse Marsch aiming to get the side up to speed for the resumption of Premier League.
The World Cup is two games in for most of the sides competing, including all three of those from the Leeds squad taking part for USA and Denmark.
There’s still a lot to play for with both nations, and they’ll be aiming to qualify for the knockouts this week in Qatar.
Meanwhile, training at Thorp Arch was expected to get back underway today with those not at the World Cup all back under Jesse Marsch’s watch.
Here, we look at some of the latest social media updates to come from the Leeds squad…
Tyler Adams
England were frustrated by an incredibly organised USMNT side, and at the heart of it was Tyler Adams.
The US skipper was integral to breaking up England’s attacking play, and caught the eye of various neutrals and pundits – a performance much akin to what we’ve seen every week with Leeds.
He posted on Instagram as the US know they need a win against Iran in the final game to qualify:
Would you be happy for Radrizzani to sell?
Yes
No
Luis Sinisterra
The Colombian winger suffered a foot injury recently that’s kept him out of Leeds’ last three games.
His nation’s failure to qualify might have been a blessing in disguise for him, knowing that he wouldn’t be missing out on a major tournament, and had plenty of time to recover as Leeds welcome Manchester City to Elland Road after Christmas.
His holiday period is now over as he travelled back to England, sharing a an Instagram story of his flight back, where his protective boot was still in shot:
Pascal Struijk
Struijk was unfortunately left out of The Netherlands squad for the World Cup despite a fine start to the season, but he’s taken his chance now to relax ahead of the second part of the season.
He posted this collection of photos from his trip to Seychelles on Instagram:
