The wait is finally over; Leeds United have secured their first win of the season, away from home against promotion favourites Derby County.

It was a game that looked for so long like it was going to end as a draw before Chris Wood picked up a Lewis Cook pass and belted a screamer past former White, Scott Carson. Jubilation as the away end erupted, Leeds’ season is finally up and running.

Let’s have a look at some things we can take from the game…

Tom Adeyemi - Derby County
The rut is broken

Whichever way you want to put it, the rut is broken! 6 competitive games (if you include last season) without a win, 7 straight defeats at Pride Park; Leeds have finally won. There is so much positivity everywhere you look. If we can just get our business done in the transfer market then who knows what can happen this season.

  1. MK Dons Ipswich and Brentford we can win…we might Draw Middlesbrough ..I predict two wins, and a draw…the other game can go either way…
the derby game lifted the Confident also,Leeds will not be intimidated with any Teams from this time on..we equaled or better, Burnley and Derby in overall performance..held our own against Reading also. well, your right,we threw away at least 4 extra point..but as you pointed out,we did not lose, psychologically that a huge lift

  2. You build from the back.the back looks as solid as I’ve seen in recent years, the rest looking good.positive times

  3. 1.Dallas can cross to a target in the box. 2.Taylor is a really sound defender. 3. Cook can run through the opposition. 4.Wood will score 20 plus goals. 5. Sam Byram is playing out of position.
