Brentford make the trip to Elland Road this weekend looking to continue their fine form by doing the double over Leeds United.

Leeds’ Premier League form has been far less than desirable this season, seeing them sit precariously above the drop zone as things stand.

Brentford are up next for Jesse Marsch’s side, coming to LS11 off the back of four wins in their last five games as they sit in eighth place.

Injuries are a headache for both managers coming into this game, with neither boss able to call upon their full-strength squads this weekend.

There will be no further reunion for Pontus Jansson and the Elland Road faithful, with Adam Pope confirming the former Leeds centre-back is not going to be ready for a return just yet:

Remaining with Jansson on the sidelines are midfield duo Frank Onyeka and Shandon Baptiste, while full-back Rico Henry is back and available for action.

Meanwhile, £14million summer signing Aaron Hickey is described as ‘touch and go’, suggesting he could be able to feature.

Brentford are set up in such a way that absences like these mean very little, because their investment and versatility covers for it.

We’ve barely had to notice that Jansson was missing, because the likes of Ben Mee and others have stepped up and filled the gap with ease.

Even when Ivan Toney was missing against Liverpool, they were brilliant and looked just as threatening, and that’s a sign of a superbly managed club.
