Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams is another player expected to be leaving the club this summer after the side was relegated at the weekend.

A 4-1 defeat to Tottenham at Elland Road on Sunday just about summed up how tragic Leeds’ season has been, conceding four really poor goals that were totally preventable, while lacking energy all over the pitch and any quality in possession.

It sealed their relegation back to the Championship after three years in the top flight, which is going to lead to a great number of departures.

Who could leave?

A host of internationals are present in the Leeds squad, and they are sure to be keen to remain top-flight players and avoid dropping into the Championship alongside the Whites.

Leeds’ USMNT trio all look likely to depart, starting officially with Weston McKennie, whose final game on loan for the club ended with him being subbed off to loud boos from the Elland Road fans.

Will Adams leave Leeds?

Another player expected to leave the club is midfielder Tyler Adams, with The Athletic reporting that he is to join his compatriots in leaving LS11.

Phil Hay reports that alongside Brenden Aaronson holding a relegation release clause in his contract, Adams is going to be one of the Leeds players that is part of the exodus.

“On-loan midfielder Weston McKennie will return to Juventus and Tyler Adams is expected to depart as well.”

Adams is one of the few players that we’re going to be sad to see leave this summer, because he gave everything for us and was very good in doing so.

The fact his final game for the club was in mid-March is a real shame, because our form dropped off a cliff since then.

It’s unsurprising that we struggled so much in midfield without him stopping the onslaught, and we’re going to have to replace that.
