It seems Leeds United manager Javi Gracia could soon have plenty of attackers to choose from when it comes to his selection.

That’s after Phil Hay revealed that the Spaniard has a number of options in that position “waiting in the wings”, with Patrick Bamford and Luis Sinisterra making progress with their recoveries.

What do Leeds’ current attacking options look like?

Leeds found themselves without a number of options in attack for their trip to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Top scorer Rodrigo has been out since January, with summer signing Sinisterra having been hampered by fitness issue for much of the season. Bamford was also absent from that game with a leg problem.

That saw Leeds start with Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Jack Harrison at Stamford Bridge, with Wilfried Gnonto and Mateo Joseph coming off the bench in that 1-0 defeat.

What has Hay said about Leeds’ attacking options?

It seems there will soon be more of a selection headache for Gracia to deal with in attack in the not too distant future.

There are suggestions that Rodrigo is hopeful of returning against Brighton on Saturday, while it seems Bamford and Sinisterra may not be far away either.

Providing an update on Leeds’ attacking options in a piece for The Athletic, Hay wrote: “Gracia has other attacking assets available and others waiting in the wings. Bamford and Luis Sinisterra are both recovering from injuries of their own.”

This will certainly be a big relief for those of a Leeds United persuasion.

Goals have obviously been hard to come by for the Elland Road club in recent months, a major concern in their battle against relegation.

As a result, having those options back in contention should be a boost for Gracia’s side, given it gives them more attacking threats to choose from, who could make that difference in front of goal.

You feel that is something that also ought to help lift the mood among the squad, helping to improve performances as a whole, meaning this could prove a big update in Leeds’ season.
