There is no interest at Leeds United in moving on either Kalvin Phillips or Raphinha in the final days of the January transfer window.

Leeds have done no business when it comes to strengthening Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, whilst supporters have been sweating on reports linking West Ham with moves for their crown jewels.

90min have claimed the Hammers were bidding for Raphinha, whilst Alan Nixon reported a £50m offer for Phillips.

As per Phil Hay, Leeds aren’t open to offers for either player in the comings days, with The Athletic journalist emphatically outlining how neither are leaving Elland Road in this transfer window.

Raphinha, 25, has been Leeds’ bright spark in an attacking sense this season, scoring eight goals and registering two assists.

Phillips, meanwhile, is an England international and starred in the summer at Euro 2020. He is currently out of action with a hamstring injury and not due to return to action until March.

This is good news for Leeds fans.

Given Leeds’ lack of business strengthening Bielsa’s squad, it would have been a really poor move from the board to flog one of Raphinha or Phillips.

Leeds should be working on new contracts for the pair rather than cashing in at this stage, protecting themselves for any future sale.

Fans aren’t naive enough to think that Raphinha and Phillips will never move on. A time will come where they are sold, with at least one of them potentially leaving in the summer.

However, no isn’t the right time for Leeds to sell, with relegation still a possibility.
