Leeds United’s Luis Sinisterra headlined Jesse Marsch’s injury update ahead of a home test against Bournemouth.
After beating Liverpool at Anfield, Jesse Marsch’s men are looking to continue their climb away from the relegation zone with another win.
They face Gary O’Neill’s Bournemouth at Elland Road, who are on a run of four games without a win with three straight defeats too.
Marsch won’t have a full strength team to pick from after recent setbacks forced him to make changes for the trip to Merseyside.
Here, we look at all the latest injury news to emerge from Marsch’s press conference head of the weekend…
Luis Sinisterra
Sinisterra is the player that caught the eye in the update, with his foot injury sustained in the Fulham game worse than first feared.
As he missed the trip to Liverpool, the Colombian’s fitness was the main update that fans were looking for.
Marsch had a long explanation for Sinisterra’s foot issue (via the YEP):
“Luis Sinisterra has a foot injury that it turns out to be more than what we originally thought it was.
“He wasn’t making the progress that we were hoping for him to make over the last 10 days and so they did another scan and then they had a specialist look at it, and they started to worry about it being a Lisfranc injury, so maybe you guys have heard of that. If you haven’t, it’s a rare injury that controls the movement of the metatarsal and when that is ruptured, it can be a long recovery.
“We don’t believe it’s ruptured, we believe it’s partially torn, which puts him in a little bit of a grey area, but probably out until after the World Cup break. We will know more about that today and we are hopeful that’s a version that doesn’t take him out for long.”
Adam Forshaw
Adam Forshaw is still out as he recovers from surgery on a hernia last month, but Marsch stated that the midfielder was “making progress”.

Stuart Dallas
Stuart Dallas was grouped with Forshaw in this update, suggesting he isn’t far from being back in contention after his femoral fracture that he suffered back in April.
Archie Gray
The only other update was that of Archie Gray, who has been suffering with a broken toe, but Marsch had this positive update (YEP):
“Archie Gray will be, we think, on the pitch tomorrow so strarting and getting closer to training with the full team.”
