Reports have emerged linking Leeds United with a move for Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Leeds are on the lookout for another midfielder this summer, as they look to round-off a decent window of incomings.
The Telegraph have reported that there’s interest in Malinovskyi, who has been with Atalanta for a single season.
The 27-year-old bagged eight goals last year, including a fine strike against Lazio.
We shared that on Twitter yesterday (@LeedsAllOver), which prompted a sea of responses.
Many fans appear keen for us to make a move for the Ukraine international, whilst Tony Dorigo also delivered his verdict.
The former Leeds left-back is commentating on the clip and has watched a lot of Serie A.
We start diving into the debate with his view…
Like a lot of Leeds fans, I’ve been diving onto YouTube to get a closer look at Malinovskyi.
He’s a creative midfielder, who likes to get on the ball and make things happen.
The Ukrainian plays in similar areas to Mateusz Klich and, a lot like the Polish international, he likes a shot on goal.
Adding a player to our midfield is essential in the coming weeks and there wouldn’t be much grumbling from my end if that man is Malinovskyi.
He’s a seasoned professional, with experience in the Italian top-flight and Champions League.
There’s a lot more to like about this guy on top of his goal against Lazio.
