It’s been reported that Newcastle have made a formal enquiry to Leeds about the availability of Ross McCormack. They’re thought to not be the only club interested in him and if they bid it could start a bidding war.
If Ross was to go, with 3 years left on his deal we would receive a decent sum of money. He’s said to be worth around £6m. However could we afford to sell him? The fan reaction would be dreadful, it’d be like nothing had been changed from previous regimes. The current Leeds squad without Mccormack would probably be favourites for relegation and even with signings there’s no guarantee they’d perform straight away.
Would it be a surprise if Ross wanted to leave? Not really. Could we blame him if he wanted to leave? Not really. I live in hope that he will still be here next season surrounded by some better players but I think it’s quite likely he’ll leave this summer.

Same old leeds, been 10 years of hell, looks like it will go on and on.cellino said I will buy back elland road, not sell our better players, and so on,and it looks like we are going to end up with a nobody for a coach.the nightmare will never end!!!
i think mac will leave he is 27 now and a chance to play in the premiere league for big money so much for loyalty i can remember mac saying in public he will stay for another season leeds is his life i cannot blame massimo if he gets 8 million for maca its good buisinnes but were does that leave us again its the same story again and again you buy a player you make him good then he kicks you in the teeth and leaves . leeds will never stop this until we are in the premiere league ourselves its a vicious circle and how you break it i dont know as of this moment in time we have no manager no coach and as it looks another star player leaves leeds massimo had better buy well as for players coming in or he will see a revolt from the fans like never before are we doomed again i dont know ahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am fumming.
It’s the same old story at Leeds, with a striker doing well for the team and then being sold.
If Rhodes was sold to Blackburn for 8 million, then surely Cellino should be demanding no less than 8 million for McCormack, who has scored goals prolifically in a struggling Leeds team.
I would love the Leeds team to be built around McCormack, because he is also a good leader, but he is ambitious and you can’t blame him wanting to play in the Premier League at the age of 27.
I really hope that McCormack is not wanting to leave Leeds, because of Brian McDermott being sacked and if that is his pathetic reason, then McCormack is a very poor judge of a poor manager, who was clearly out of his depth at a high profile club like Leeds.
The people who McCormack should be angry with for McDermotts sacking are his so called team mates, who made McCormacks 29 goals look like an absolute waste of time, because of their incompetence and extremely poor displays in the second half of last season.
