Mateusz Klich has become a popular figure for Leeds United since the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road, seeing him instilled as a firm fan-favourite with his tireless efforts each week.

The signing of Klich went quite far under the radar with Thomas Christiansen at the helm and not showing much faith in him, meaning his 2017/18 campaign was best forgotten from a Leeds perspective.

However, since the Argentine’s eye-opening arrival at Elland Road, one of the most improved players has to be Mateusz Klich, who has yet to miss a single league game since the start of last season and has been an indispensable member of the side in that time.

His 2018/19 term saw him hit double figures for goals with a range of well-worked efforts coupled with stunning long-range strikes, leading to a chant coined by the Leeds fans with the tagline that ‘it could be 20 yards or 30 yards, 40 yards or 50 yards’ but ‘Klich is scoring goals’.

Beyond the goals, he has become a very enjoyable player to watch for the Leeds fans with his hard work and playful antics against the opposition. It has got to the point where even when he cannot interact with the support in person on a day-to-day basis, he’s still managing to receive moments of praise from the fans who sing his name.

A parcel arrived at his house today bearing his name and the driver delivering the goods couldn’t help himself from adding a little note to the parcel, as shared on Klich’s Instagram:

It might not be the most interactive of times for society but fans are still letting their feelings known to the players, with this one delivery driver adding to his name the words of his popular chant.
