Leeds United head to the riverside for the lunchtime game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Brighton last week. Before this game Leeds had a mini revival collecting 7 points from 3 games all co in siding with the return to goalscoring form of our captain, Ross McCormack.

Middlesbrough have been in poor form having not scored in the last 5 matches, their last victory came back on 18th January against Charlton Athletic. Lee Tomlin has this week secured a permanent transfer to Middlesbrough after signing a 3 and a half-year deal. Shay Given is expected to play the final game of his loan deal at ‘Boro before returning to parent club, Aston Villa. Ben Gibson is also suspended.

Jack Butland is likely to replace the injured Paddy Kenny in the Leeds goal to make his debut for the club. It also believed that Lee Peltier will deputise for Sam Byram who is struggling with a hamstring injury. Cameron Stewart is available again after a “break” in his loan deal, which now allows him to play in all games, except the final game of the campaign against Derby.

Likely line up.

Previous results

We have played Boro a total of 42 times away, meeting at the Riverside and Ayrsome Park. Of the 42 games, Boro edge Leeds with 17 victories to United’s 10 with 15 draws. Boro have scored 65 goals against us whilst they have been at home compared to our 45.

Last time out we beat Boro 2-1 at Elland Road thanks to goals from Ross McCormack and Jason Pearce.

Prediction, I am feeling fairly confident and going to punt for a 2-0 Leeds win, with McCormack scoring first. We would love to hear your predictions so get involved and let us know how you feel the game will play out. Thanks for reading.
