Leeds United have three more points on the board after beating Crystal Palace, with Adam Forshaw once again starring in the middle.
The summer transfer window was perhaps viewed as a failure in some respects when Leeds didn’t managed to land a central midfielder.
Conor Gallagher was looking to show Leeds what they missed out on in the clash against Crystal Palace last night, while Andrea Radrizzani will have been hoping his faith in Adam Fordham would be repaid.
After a string of already impressive midfield displays, Forshaw put in arguably his best yet in a Leeds shirt to up the tempo the Whites have been sorely lacking thus far in 2021/22.
Raphinha will get the plaudits for being the match-winner, but Forshaw’s energy levels and passing ability gave us a real platform to control proceedings, even if it was just a penalty that decided the game.
His performance has plenty of fans absolutely delighted…
Forshaw was immense throughout, and the perfect addition to this side since he’s returned.
He gave Palace no breathing room in midfield and was on top of every loose ball, a vital asset in the middle.
What goes under the radar is that he’s done this shortly after doing the same away to Brighton, with only two days’ rest.
Not many players would be able to boast an engine like that, let alone after recently having nearly two years out of the game.
